What is HAF?
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is an initiative in England designed to provide healthy meals, enriching activities, and free childcare places to children from low-income families during school holidays.
The programme aims to support children’s health, wellbeing, and learning by offering a range of activities and nutritious food.
Since its inception, the HAF programme has expanded significantly, providing millions of activity days to children across the country.
It’s primarily targeted at children who receive benefits-related free school meals, but local authorities can also offer places to other children who might benefit.
